Course Details The Level 3 Diploma in the Children and Young People’s Workforce is directed at those already working in an early years setting, including pre-schools, childminders, day nurseries or children’s social care settings. This qualification is suitable for those with experience in this sector and who work in a position of responsibility or have the opportunity to do so. These candidates require taught input and their competency evidenced, in order to complement the ‘on the job’ experience and knowledge already acquired, and chosen optional units should reflect the needs of the work role.

Entry Requirement Although the Awarding body has no specific entry requirements for this course, we at JFC Training College do recommend that applicants have a Pass grade in GCSE, English and Maths (Grades A-C) Alternatively, For the Advanced Apprenticeship programme, you should be 16 years or older, working in a more senior role within a childcare setting, with a strong commitment towards gaining the skills and qualifications you need to help you progress in your career. You should be working at least 30 hours per week in one of the following roles: • Nursery Nurse • Youth worker
